Brussels, Belgium – April 7, 2023 – Ketchum Brussels, an integrated communications consultancy with a dedicated healthcare practice, today marks World Health Day with the release of its inaugural Healthcare Communication Trends Report and the addition of Perrine Sokal as Strategic Advisor to the healthcare practice. These important developments, which are testament to Ketchum Brussels’ breadth of expertise in healthcare communications consultancy, cement its role as a first-rate provider of healthcare communications counsel to clients in the Belgian and pan-European markets.

The Healthcare Communication Trends Report examined the two-year period from January 2020 to December 2022 and identified macro and micro trends set to shape the healthcare sector in the coming months and years. The report highlights a growing trend towards rebuilding trust in medical science, following the turbulent social response to the pandemic. It also underscores the increasing demand for healthcare companies to lead on promoting health equity, such as by prioritising a diverse representation of participants in clinical trials. These and other valuable insights from the report will help industry stakeholders to successfully navigate the challenges of developing impactful communications strategies in a rapidly shifting healthcare landscape.

The addition of Sokal as Strategic Advisor further bolsters the consultancy’s healthcare expertise. As a former Ketchum Brussels employee from 2015 to 2018, Sokal has since gained 5 years of experience in communications, digital marketing, corporate affairs, and European affairs at AbbVie. Now she returns to Ketchum Brussels to provide expert guidance to its healthcare practice, where she will play a key role in continuing to grow and develop the consultancy’s healthcare specialism.

“I’m thrilled to return to Ketchum Brussels in the capacity of Strategic Advisor to the healthcare practice – and particularly at a time when the world of healthcare is evolving so quickly,” said Sokal. “Ketchum has a strong track record in healthcare communications, and I am excited to have the opportunity to work with this talented team and help them spearhead their efforts in this area moving forward. I am keenly aware of the complexities of communicating within highly regulated environments, where expectations and public scrutiny are high. My focus will be on providing strategic and operational support to the consultancy’s clients with this in mind.”

“On World Health Day, we’re excited to showcase our in-house healthcare communications expertise through the release of our Healthcare Communication Trends Report,” said Jeroen Fermie, Managing Director of Ketchum Brussels. “We’re also delighted to work with Perrine Sokal, whose experience will be a strong asset to our consultancy and will help us continue to strengthen our expertise in healthcare communications. With healthcare trends rapidly evolving in the post-COVID world, industry stakeholders can rely on Ketchum Brussels as trusted advisors to optimise their communications strategies for success.”

Ketchum Brussels has a proven track-record in healthcare communications, providing strategic counsel and consultancy services to major players in the healthcare arena.
