UNESCO: #MoveforEquality
The first rule in chess is that white goes first. On the official “Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination,” two of the world’s top chess players broke the rules in a match that was watched online around the world: for the first time, black started. That act became an open invitation to the online chess gaming community worldwide to join the movement and rethink equality through the game of chess – and play online using a special app allowing the rule to be broken. Their goal was to demonstrate that color should have no advantage in the game of chess, or life. Credit: (Emanate GmbH & BBDO Group Germany GmbH)
