“I’m acutely aware of how this opportunity can help to inspire others that they actually can be seen and acknowledged for who they are.”

Rhiannon Adam, the first openly LGBTQ+ person to travel into space.

Ketchum partnered with the dearMoon project, founded and developed by Japanese entrepreneur Yusaku Maezawa, to support their announcement to send 8 civilians on a trip round the moon. The crew will be made up of established artists who, on their return, will create a unique art project inspired by their experience in space. Ketchum was tasked with driving traction for the mission itself, particularly for Rhiannon Adam, the first openly LGBTQ+ person to travel into space.

RESULTS

Within four days of the announcement, the campaign secured more than 350+ pieces of coverage across print, online and broadcast – including print coverage in almost every major national newspaper!

Highlights included interviews with BBC Radio 4, Channel 5 News, ITV News, BBC London.
