    As the CEO of Ketchum in the UK, it is Jo-ann’s job to empower the team to deliver on its collective mission to be the best communications consultancy, doing work that matters. Having worked in politics, journalism and PR for almost 20 years, she believes that our craft is critical to the success of businesses and organisations.

    Jo-ann’s priorities as CEO include ensuring we have a highly engaged workforce that continuously performs for our clients and their business. The engagement strategies she has embedded are focused on evolving and innovating the client experience; ensuring campaigns are data driven, strategically lead, creatively bold and flawless in execution and our work delivers both business and communications results.

    Jo-ann is passionately committed to evolving our workforce composition to be the most diverse and inclusive consultancy in the UK. so we can always deliver work that matters to our consultancy, our clients, and society.

    Jo-ann feels privileged to lead such a committed and talented team and is proud that in 2020 Ketchum has been awarded the Creative Equals silver accreditation for diversity and inclusion, the PR Week Best Places to Work award for diversity and inclusion, and the SABRE award for UK Consultancy of the Year.

    Deputy CEO

    As Deputy CEO, Sera is responsible for overseeing the agency’s Consumer Brand, Health and Corporate Reputation communities in collaboration with their specialist MD’s. Prior to joining Ketchum, Sera was co-founder of strategy and innovation consultancy Fawnbrake and CEO of the Material Communications Group, working throughout her career at senior level with global clients such as Google, Carlsberg Group and Access Intelligence, and leading integrated UK-based teams on clients such as Lloyds Banking Group and SSE Plc.

    A former Drum Marketer of the Year, Sera brings over 20 years’ experience at agency leadership level, and in 2020 was recognised at the global Women in Marketing Awards with a Highly Commended Special Award for Outstanding Contribution. An active member of industry networks Bloom and WACL, Sera is committed to championing access, diversity and equity for all, co-chairing the BloomND inclusion group, mentoring as part of The Exchange programme, through Brixton Finishing School and in her role as mentor ambassador for the Creative Mentors Network.

    Sera brings a passion for strategic excellence and communications effectiveness to her role at Ketchum, and is focused on working collaboratively across our client base to deliver on the next stage of our consultancy journey, unlocking success and growth for clients through work that matters.

    Alicia Solanki

    UK Managing Director Client Experience

    Alicia is the Deputy Managing Director of Ketchum London’s Brand division. She brings 15 years’ experience to the agency having worked across both corporate communications and brand marketing. As well as leading on practice responsibilities, she also heads up the agency’s largest client Samsung. A client that touches the entire agency, Alicia leads a team of over 20 people on an expansive brief which includes UK press office, awards and reviews, influencer engagement, new product launches, thought leadership and executive profiling. Prior to this role, Alicia spent most of her career servicing big, multi-disciplinary accounts.

    She led the Nissan Europe account for over 6 years and was the engine room of other bluechip clients including FedEx Express, Hertz and P&G Professional. She also has issues and crisis experience having helped a major white goods manufacturer through an intensive crisis in the UK and has supported numerous businesses with issues and crisis preparedness and training.

    Gavin brings of over thirty years’ experience, gained in the media sector, having previously worked for Edelman and Ogilvy PR. He works closely with the CEO and agency leaders to drive efficiency and growth, as well as leading the finance team to support the business across day to day operations. A driven and successful individual, Gavin provides the agency with strong financial leadership, whilst supporting our highly motivated organisation to deliver its objectives.

    Having spent four years at Samsung Electronics as Head of PR, Social Media and CSR – James has recently joined Ketchum as Managing Director of Client Experience. At Samsung He led teams which managed communications with all external stakeholders, including product launches, issue management and brand campaigns.
    He is now responsible for the overall experience offered to clients at Ketchum; ensuring the right talent, structures, processes, knowledge and culture are in place to be able to consistently deliver outstanding work. James brings a client’s point of view to everything we do. He is focussed on ensuring we create highly effective client partnerships which are the platform for delivering impactful work.

    New Business Director

    Janita is Head of New Business and Marketing for London. During her 8-year tenure with the agency, she has held the role of New Business Manager, Europe, traveling to local offices to pitch doctor and host business development training. In 2017, she transitioned to the London role to lead a high performing new business team and act as a growth steward for the agency, working closely with the CEO and Senior Leadership Team. Janita is also a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Board Member for Ketchum globally and a London Inclusion Council Advisor.

    P&G Global Client Experience & EMEA Region

    Deirdre has twenty years’ experience working both agency and client side across a broad spectrum of sectors including: food and nutrition, consumer health, technology and lifestyle. For the past 13 years, Deirdre has held various positions at Ketchum. Deirdre is currently the Global Client Director for Philips Lighting, overseeing integrated communications across their 16 regions. She is also focused on expanding Ketchum’s Creative Services – ideation, planning, research, design and production – for a full-service offer.

    Deirdre’s expertise lies in strategic brand building, ‘marketing to women’ and influencer management at a local and global level.

    Born on the rock of Gibraltar. Sri Lankan / Malaysian blood. British by design.
    Indy is an award-winning Creative with 12 years’ experience across a multitude of creative industries.
    He started his career as an artist showing work at The Serpentine Gallery and the Tate & Whitney Museum of American Art in New York before writing a TV show for Channel 4, produced by Charlie Brooker.
    A few years later he moved into Advertising where he wrote and created award-winning work including the Thierry Henry Sky Sports film. It was the most viewed advert in 24hrs, making Facebook history with 21 million views and the 3rd most watched ad in the world for that week.
    Indy has worked at agencies including Kindred, Brothers and Sisters, Weber Shandwick and Edelman Deportivo where he has CD’d award winning campaigns across Xbox, HSBC, Sky, Unilever & The UN.
    Along the way he has won at: Eurobest, D&AD, Cannes, One Show, PR Week, Guardian Top TV Show of the year, Clio and on the jury for the British Arrows, PR Week, Campaign and continues to do talks for: Huffington Post, Cannes, Dubai Lynx, BFI and Channel 4.

    Sophie Raine is MD of the Consumer Brand practice at Ketchum London, leading the agencies biggest division. Sophie has over 15 years’ experience working in consumer communications. Prior to joining Ketchum at seven months pregnant (yes, you read that right!) in 2019, Sophie spent six years at creative consultancy W, where she worked her way up to deputy managing director.
    At Ketchum, Sophie works across the P&G and VELUX business. Sophie operates with a very ‘hands-on’ approach to both campaign development and delivery and has a track record of generating award-winning creative campaigns with tangible business results. Sophie also sits on the Women in PR committee and is on a mission to increase the number and diversity of women in leadership roles in PR and communications.
    Sophie is recognised as the 4th top PR Professional in the PRWeek UK Power Book 2021, Top 20 in Consumer PR .

    Head of Research & Analytics

    Giuseppe launched the consultancy arm at leading social listening platform Pulsar, working with national and global clients such as Mazda, Chanel, Aviva, NHS England and many others. ​

    Giuseppe has focused his career on solving business problems through research. He spent the best part of his career in the consumer insight space, gaining solid experience with a range of qualitative and quantitative research techniques before devoting himself to emerging methodologies powered by AI and machine learning. He now leads Ketchum R&A where he is responsible for spearheading the company’s research proposition and deepen our understanding of consumer behavior and culture dynamics.

    Kirsty brings over 15 years’ HR experience, gained in the media sector, having previously worked for LEWIS. Kirsty works closely with the CEO and senior leadership team to create engaging talent plans that support Ketchum’s strategic priorities. Kirsty also works closely with the European senior HR leaders to drive consistent employee experience across multiple offices. She is passionate about creating a diverse and inclusive working environment for all and making Ketchum a great place to work.
