Bill Zucker is a senior counselor on media relations and reputation for Ketchum, and leads the agency's Midwest Region.
In his public relations career, Bill has prepared media and reputation strategies for a variety of companies and industries and is a specialist in issues and crisis management, handling situations including product liability, public accidents, food recalls, and class action litigation. He was named PR News Crisis Communicator of the Year in 2005.
Bill was a broadcast news executive for network-owned stations in New York and Chicago. He worked as a producer, reporter, and newsroom executive at five television stations and one radio station. As Executive Producer at WBBM-TV, he launched the CBS station’s first morning news broadcast. As a producer at WABC-TV, he was honored with an Emmy award for the documentary "Return to Vietnam.” Bill has also counseled numerous CEOs through issues impacting their personal or corporate standing. As a media trainer, Bill has conducted intense interview simulations to prepare executives for appearances on Dateline NBC, The Today Show, and Good Morning America.
A Milwaukee native, Bill graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Journalism. He lives in Illinois with his wife and two children.
