LONDON, 30 March 2012 – Ketchum Pleon swept to victory last night at PRmoment’s first annual Golden Hedgehog Awards in Birmingham, bringing home three awards. Ketchum won Large Agency of the Year and, as one of the main partners of the OneVoice* consortium of agencies created uniquely for Philips, also scooped two awards for its Philips “Wake Up The Town” campaign – Consumer Campaign of the Year and the Grand Prix Award.
These awards follow on the heels of Ketchum’s recent PRWeek wins of Agency of the Year and International Consultancy of the Year.

The “Wake Up The Town” campaign tackled consumer perception surrounding Philips' Wake-up Light product by staging a social experiment with the residents of Longyearbyen, Norway, the world's northernmost town, where the sun never rises during the winter. The OneVoice team persuaded residents to use the Wake up Light during the winter and 87% reported that they felt more alert and ready for the day as a result of using the light. The agency then took Longyearbyen’s endorsement into a multi market through the line campaign which generated many millions of media impressions in the UK, France, Norway, Sweden, Belgium and the Netherlands - and, most importantly, helped grow Philips' value share 22% during the campaign period.
PRmoment’s Golden Hedgehog Awards are run with the support of Precise and the Public Relations Consultants Association. The awards feature 20 categories plus a Golden Hedgehog for the best overall campaign and a Hoglet Award for outstanding young communicators. The Golden Hedgehogs award these categories separately for the Northern region (including northern England, Scotland and Northern Ireland) and the Southern region (including Wales, the Midlands and southern England).
