Founders Valeria Perito and Rosana Monteiro Transition to Advisory Roles

NEW YORK AND SÃO PAULO, March 14, 2019 – Leading global communications consultancy Ketchum today announced the appointment of Caio Bamberg as chief executive officer for Ketchum Brazil, effective April 15. He succeeds CEO Valeria Perito and COO Rosana Monteiro, who will both be transitioning to advisory roles.

In his new role, Bamberg will guide the strategic direction of Ketchum Brazil as an integrated, digitally focused communications firm. He also will focus on growing Ketchum’s business in the market to help meet clients’ continually evolving needs.

Bamberg joins Ketchum from Wunderman, where he most recently served as chief operating officer. His digital expertise spans his entire career, from his beginnings as a back-end technical coder, digital planner and UX specialist at Ogilvy & Mather to founding digital advertising agency Urban Summer Digital Creative. He brings to Ketchum more than 20 years of advertising agency experience and has supported brands such as IBM, Dell, General Motors, Renault, ESPN, Audi, Telefonica Vivo, Santander and Google, among others.

Bamberg joins the firm as founders Perito and Monteiro transition to advisory roles, 32 years after establishing Estratégia, which became Ketchum Estratégia in 2011 and later Ketchum Brazil in 2014. Perito and Monteiro have been instrumental in shaping and strengthening numerous large multinational brands and companies, and under their leadership Ketchum Brazil has become a leading healthcare, consumer and integrated digital marketing agency. In addition to serving as COO, Monteiro has represented the industry as a board director for SINCO (the Brazilian Union of Communication Agencies) and ABRACOM (the Brazilian Communication Agencies Association).
