Ketchum Maslov Evolves its Brand to Ketchum

Evgenia Kondrasheva

NEW YORK, May 17, 2017 – Leading global public relations firm Ketchum announced the evolution of Moscow-based Ketchum Maslov to the Ketchum brand at a recent celebration for Moscow-based clients hosted by Michael Maslov, partner and director of the Moscow office. The rebranding is part of Ketchum’s long-standing strategy to ensure brand consistency across its network. Maslov will continue in his role, maintaining responsibility for the office’s operations and overseeing key accounts.

“We are happy to take this next, logical step in strengthening brand alignment with the Ketchum network,” said Maslov. “I look forward to working with the Ketchum team as we continue to deliver value to our clients and employees.”

Ketchum Maslov’s rebranding to Ketchum follows other recent brand transitions within the agency. Ketchum merged with leading European communications consultancy Pleon in 2009, and in the following years, the firm’s European offices transitioned from Ketchum Pleon to the Ketchum brand. Ketchum ICON in Singapore and Ketchum Estrategia in Brazil were each rebranded to Ketchum soon after their acquisitions.

Mark Hume, partner, COO and CFO, Ketchum Europe, added: “Since it joined the Ketchum family, the Maslov team has made significant contributions to the growth of Ketchum throughout Eastern Europe. The strengthened brand alignment under the Ketchum name has been a longtime vision, and we are excited about how this will bolster the collaborative and borderless network of expertise and offerings for clients and our employees around the world.”

In 1995, Maslov PR, a Moscow-based, full-service public relations company, became Ketchum’s exclusive affiliate partner in Russia. The firm expanded to the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) in 2004 and currently coordinates a regional network in eight markets. Ketchum took a majority stake in Maslov PR in 2010, and since then, the agency has been known as Ketchum Maslov. The partnership has advanced Ketchum’s global client service capabilities and strengthened its presence in Northern Eurasia. Ketchum Maslov was recognized as the Best PR Agency in Eastern Europe (2012) and Best PR Agency in Russia (2016) by the Holmes Report, an authoritative leading magazine of the global public relations industry.

The alignment of the Ketchum brand in Russia will begin immediately.

In addition to the rebranding, Ketchum presented during the recent gathering its key global and local practices and services, including media relations, internal and change communications, digital, government relations/public affairs, as well as leadership training programs.
