Senior Vice President and Director, Social Marketing
Successful social marketing strategies have the power to change the way we think, feel and behave. In today's diverse society, where attitudes and behaviors are shaped through multiple influences, reaching the public requires solid social marketing approaches rooted in sound research and smart communications strategies.
Ketchum Social Marketing has created a wide range of successful social marketing and government communications campaigns by identifying and defining a social issue, selecting and segmenting the appropriate messages and target audiences, and identifying trusted channels and influencers to reach target audiences.
Ketchum Social Marketing is unique in its ability to shape complex, large-scale public education campaigns critical to the nation's well-being. By understanding what motivates our audiences, by working with partners, and by leveraging the media to reach our audiences where they work and live, we create winning strategies.
In 2003, for example, Ketchum teamed with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to create an award-winning program that shined the media spotlight on human trafficking, rescued new victims of trafficking, and built a community of support to help restore victims' lives.
Ketchum has also worked with another government agency, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, since 2001 to support a series of social marketing campaigns helping to rebrand Medicare as an important partner in helping to manage Medicare beneficiaries' overall health. We led the campaign to launch the CMS Prescription Drug Benefit, resulting in 90% of seniors enrolled in a coverage plan.
And Ketchum played a role with the Federal Communications Commission and the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (of the U.S. Department of Commerce) educate Americans about the digital TV transition and the TV Converter Box Coupon Program.
Ketchum Social Marketing works with government and private sector clients to deliver results. To create a strategy that works, we draw on our in-house research team to gain a strong understanding of the audience, the environment, and the media landscape. Through established research and analysis, careful audience segmentation and messaging, and a network of relationships with partners, we have the skill and the experience to help organizations drive changes in societal attitudes and behaviors.
