Ketchum and Its Clients Continue Winning Tradition and Take Home Four Silver Anvil Awards

Ketchum and its clients were awarded four Silver Anvil awards at the annual Public Relations Society of America ceremony recognizing the best in strategic public relations planning and execution.

New York, June 9, 2006 – Last evening, Ketchum, a leading global public relations firm, and its clients were awarded four Silver Anvil awards at the annual Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) ceremony recognizing the best in strategic public relations planning and execution. In addition, Ketchum was honored with six Awards of Excellence, which are presented to finalists whose entries are judged to be of Silver Anvil quality but are not awarded a Silver Anvil.
     
Ketchum has won a total of 96 Silver Anvils – more than any other public relations agency – since the competition began in 1946. The ceremony, held every June in New York City, recognized outstanding work from 2005 that demonstrates creativity, skillfulness and resourcefulness, and meets the highest standards of four phases of a public relations program: research, planning, execution and evaluation. A panel of 150 judges chose the award-winning programs from the 754 entries in this year’s competition.

Ketchum received three Silver Anvils for programs with Kodak and a fourth for work with Federated Department Stores. Colleagues from around the Ketchum network, including offices in New York and Atlanta, as well as Concentric Communications, a unit of Ketchum, created and executed these award-winning programs with a best-teams approach. These four Silver Anvils add to the agency’s roster of award wins for 2006. To date, Ketchum has won 34 awards in North America and Europe for outstanding client work. Ketchum is also nominated for eight CIPRA (China International Public Relations Association) awards. Winners will be announced on Saturday, June 24.
