Jon Higgins

Senior Partner and CEO, International

Jon Higgins is responsible for Ketchum’s offices in Asia and South America.

In these regions, he is responsible for client stewardship, business development, and new ventures, as well as enhancement of the agency’s global reputation for creativity, innovation, and thought leadership. Jon is a member of Ketchum’s Executive Committee.

Prior to assuming this role in 2008, Jon was CEO of Ketchum EMEA, covering offices in the U.K., Germany, France, Spain and Italy, as well as an exclusive network of 20 affiliates.

While CEO of Ketchum London, Jon raised client service to the highest priority by building a first-rate senior management team and establishing a strong presence for Ketchum's global practices. Among the accolades the London office garnered during Jon’s tenure included being named the U.K.’s fastest-growing top-tier agency in 2003, being recognized by The Financial Times as one of the “UK's 50 Top Great Places to Work,” and being designated by PR industry pundit Paul Holmes as the “Best Place to Work in Europe.

This international phase of Jon’s career came after six years with Ketchum in California, where he held overall senior management responsibility for the firm's offices in San Francisco, Los Angeles and Silicon Valley. During his tenure in San Francisco, Ketchum was the number-one agency in the Bay Area, tripling its growth under his direction and earning more than a dozen national industry awards.

In addition, Jon helped lead the creation, global launch and agency integration of the Ketchum Programming Process (KPP), an ambitious undertaking aimed at leveraging the agency's digital strategy, creative resources and unique culture into a consistent approach to client programming. By bringing a proprietary methodology to client work, KPP has made Ketchum's strategic and creative programming more consistent throughout the network, while raising PR’s impact and value to clients.

Jon is based in Washington, D.C. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern California.
