London, June 6, 2007 - Ketchum London has appointed Patrick Barrow to head its rapidly growing U.K. Corporate Affairs offer. Barrow is currently the Managing Director of the U.K. Public Relations Consultants Association and will remain in that position until a succession plan is finalized.

Ketchum’s services for corporate clients have been managed alongside its consumer offer since Corporate Managing Director Paul Baverstock’s return to politics in 2005. The agency’s corporate client base has grown significantly since then, including new or expanded assignments from the Abu Dhabi cultural authority, Baxter Pharmaceuticals, FedEx, Nokia, Towers Perrin, and the World Economic Forum, among others.

“Our corporate offer has grown too large to be seen as anything other than a major focus for Ketchum, and to maintain our momentum we needed to make new investments in its leadership,” said Ketchum London CEO David Gallagher. “Patrick brings an unmatched understanding of our industry, inside and out, and a keen understanding of what both clients and talent expect of a sophisticated corporate communications consultancy.”

Barrow will assume leadership of a team of 15 corporate specialists, counseling corporate clients directly and integrating business communications services for the agency’s consumer and healthcare clients.

On joining Ketchum, Barrow said, “I’ve been lucky in the last few years to have enjoyed a panoramic view of the agency landscape, and one of the features that has consistently caught my eye has been Ketchum. In its understated way, it has been getting so much right; doing right by clients, right by themselves and right by the people who work there. It’s an exciting time.”

Prior to joining the PRCA, Barrow held senior corporate affairs positions for T-Mobile, Thomas Cook Travel and the Telegraph Group.
