On May 7, Ketchum Senior Vice President and Director of the New York Global Media Network group Nick Ragone will participate in a Public Relations Society of America New York chapter panel titled “The Role of Public Relations in Turbulent Financial Times.” The event will be hosted by Ketchum at its New York office.
What's ahead for the global economy? Certainly, the shifts that have resulted in the relative strengths and weaknesses of financial centers, the emergence of new and powerful players in the Mideast and Asia, the changing values of currencies, and international scrutiny of lending instruments and a variety of policies internationally indicate only the continuance of tumultuous times in financial markets. What part will PR professionals play in this volatile and challenging future?
“The Role of Public Relations in Turbulent Financial Times” will examine the crucial role that public relations professionals increasingly play in keeping the media informed of fast-moving developments in corporations, government entities and other organizations around the world. Panelists will discuss how leaders of these organizations and their stakeholders negotiate the roiling global economic seas, and how PR practitioners can successfully support and provide crucial information for reporters and news organizations.
