What’s an elephant got to do with PR? It’s not every day you bid on an elephant, but that’s just what Ketchum Pleon did when they spotted the opportunity on eBay. You see, London’s world-famous local zoo and safari park welcomed a new baby elephant last month, but the zookeepers were stumped on what to name it. Enter eBay and Ketchum Pleon’s winning £2,500 bid. The proceeds benefit the Zoological Society of London’s Whipsnade Zoo for conservation work, including its Asian elephant project and others around the world.
The pint-sized pachyderm now carries our founding father’s name: George Ketchum. Born on 12 April, the young elephant is fast finding his feet in the spring sunshine while delighting visitors with his inquisitive nature. At birth, he weighed in at 124 kg and is more than 3 ft tall. Nurtured by mother Karishma, a first-time mum, he is one of nine elephants at the Bedfordshire Zoo.
And if you’re looking for a “real” job, Ketchum Pleon is looking for people at all levels in all sectors of PR. Brand, corporate, healthcare, public affairs and financial communications, and medical education, digital media, media relations and planning to name a few!
Want to work somewhere that’s committed to making you even better? Do you want to change behaviours, build brands and drive business performance for the world-leading companies and institutions? If the answer is yes, then we want to hear from you!
