Ketchum Pleon London operates a three month paid internship programme for students and new graduates wishing to gain an in depth understanding of a global award winning Public Relations agency, and experience first-hand the unique culture of one of the UK’s top Great Places to Work.
PR offers an exciting and challenging career that combines interesting and stimulating work with the need to be creative, flexible and client focused. Students will spend three months working within one of Ketchum Pleon’s three different practice areas; Corporate & Public Affairs, Healthcare or Brand, gaining a hands-on experience into the day-to-day business of PR client and account work.
Corporate & Public Affairs:
Ketchum Pleon’s Corporate & Public Affairs practice combines looking after the reputation of some of the world’s most high profile companies with helping to raise the credibility of smaller businesses, charities and cultural initiatives across Europe and the Middle East. The team always strives to provide interns with the best experience possible based on their personal interests.
Healthcare:
Our Healthcare practice has over 50 healthcare communication specialists, offering a wealth of knowledge and experience to drive successful health education and awareness campaigns. Interns within the Healthcare practice play an important role in supporting the account teams across a range of different clients, products and disease areas.
Brand:
Ketchum Pleon’s award winning Brand practice are dedicated to helping some of the biggest UK and international companies launch, build and protect their brands. During this internship you will have the opportunity to work on a range of world leading brands from various sectors including beauty, food, generalist consumer & consumer technology.

How long is a placement?
Ketchum Pleon internships last for the duration of 3 months and these are set dates throughout the year; Jan-March, April-June, July-September, October-December (specific dates)
Who is eligible for this programme? We welcome applications from candidates across a range of academic backgrounds and different levels of experience. As long as you have keen interest in PR and an eagerness to learn about the industry then we would love to hear from you! In order to apply for an internship you must be an EU citizen or alternatively have obtained a visa that authorises you to undertake work experience or an internship in the UK. Unfortunately we are unable to help you obtain a visa. Please contact www.bunac.org.uk and/or the British embassy in your home country in order to obtain a visa or information about how to obtain one. What sort of work do students do? The joy of working in PR is that no two days are the same however each intern will be given a checklist of activities on their first day to ensure they develop a variety of skills. Typical tasks include; conducting research, coordinating mail-outs, sending product samples, compiling media and invitation lists, attending team meetings and brainstorms – all the kinds of tasks an Account Coordinator would carry out on a day to day basis.
