Jerry Olszewski is Senior Partner and Chief Client Officer of Ketchum, and also is a member of the agency’s 10-member Executive Committee.
Prior to assuming his Chief Client Officer role in 2008, Jerry served as Senior Partner responsible for Ketchum’s international operations in Asia and Latin America. Before being named to head the agency’s international operations in 1997, Jerry served as Managing Director of Ketchum’s European network and was based in Munich and London from 1991 until 1999. He is currently based in Ketchum’s Washington office.
In the 1990s, Jerry was instrumental in establishing offices in Munich, Milan, London, Paris and Madrid, ensuring a Ketchum presence in all major European markets. Ketchum Greater China, with offices in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Chengdu and Taipei, was added to the Ketchum portfolio and is now one of the top-10 agencies in China. Jerry later went on to establish Ketchum offices in Latin America, which now includes 10 affiliates. In 2000, Ketchum acquired a share of Estratégia Assessoria de Comunicação in Brazil.
Jerry joined Ketchum in 1980 and worked in the agency’s Washington office for 10 years. During that time, he had management responsibility for client programs focusing on environmental communications, public affairs, corporate reputation, employee communications and crisis communications.
Jerry is a graduate of Marquette University and holds a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy and political science. He also holds a graduate certificate in public relations from American University.
