James Maxwell Frequently Asked Questions

When does the graduate scheme start?
The James Maxwell graduate programme will begin 10 September 2012.

How many graduates do you recruit?
This varies each year, but we usually offer between three to four positions.

How long does the programme last?
Unlike other programmes, the James Maxwell scheme is an offer of permanent employment, so there is no set duration for the programme. However, during your first year, participants will carry out two six-month rotations before choosing their preferred practice areas.

Do you accept applications from candidates outside of the EU?
All applicants must have all the necessary permits and visas to work in the UK prior to completing an application form. No post-study visas will be accepted. These must be approved when the application form is completed.

What is the deadline for applications?
All applications must be submitted to alice.clarke@ketchumpleon.com by 30 March 2012. Successful applicants will be contacted by the end of April.

What is the starting salary for the James Maxwell programme?
Our graduate salaries are currently under review. However, we always pay a competitive salary for graduates in PR. On top of a salary, we also offer a very competitive benefits package.

Do I need a PR degree to apply?
No, we welcome applications from all backgrounds that demonstrate a strong academic history, entrepreneurial flair, creativity and innovative thinking.

What are the next steps in the application process?
All successful applicants will be contacted by the end of April and invited to take part in a telephone interview with one of the team. Following this telephone interview, successful candidates will be invited to attend a full assessment day at Ketchum Pleon. In order to be considered for the scheme, all applicants must be able to attend the assessment centre in June 2012.
