Challenge
In 2010, Healthy Choice introduced a new line of Steaming Entrées and worked with Ketchum to deliver an innovative online program to reach the Healthy Choice consumer, encourage trial of the new meals, and increase engagement with consumers on the Healthy Choice Facebook page.
Solution
Since the Healthy Choice consumer is constantly asking for coupons on Facebook, Ketchum supported a Progressive CouponSM Offer from the brand. The coupon, hosted on the brand’s Facebook page, began at a $.75 off value and grew as more and more people “Liked” the brand and reserved their coupon, ultimately reaching a Buy One Get One Free value, relying on consumers to pass along the offer to increase the value.
Result
As a result of outreach to the Facebook community, bloggers, the Healthy Choice e-mail database, a call-out on HealthyChoice.com, use of Facebook advertising and sharing among online consumers, the brand increased “Likes” by 900%, from 6,805 to 62,004. More than 45,190 consumers reserved their coupons, and the team generated more than 238 blog posts and more than three million organic brand-driven impressions.
