Shanghai, July 21, 2009Ketchum Greater China, the Asia Pacific division of top-five global public relations agency Ketchum and a unit of Omnicom Group, has promoted Darby Doll to General Manager of Ketchum Shanghai effective July 2009.
 
Doll previously served as Vice President of Corporate, Technology and Digital Practices at Ketchum Shanghai.
 
“Under his leadership of Shanghai’s corporate practice, Doll proved his business acumen, made significant improvements in client servicing and emerged as an inspirational leader to his team,” said Kenneth Chu, Partner and Chief Executive Officer, Ketchum Greater China. “Recognized among clients and colleagues as a true communications strategist, he’s a natural choice to lead our office in Shanghai.”
 
As General Manager, Doll will oversee the firm’s business operations and continue to provide strategic counsel to the firm’s corporate and brand clients, including DSM, Eaton, FedEx, KUKA, McDonald’s and Voith AG, among others. He will also play a key role in helping clients take advantage of communications opportunities prior to and during World Expo 2010 Shanghai.
 
Doll also brings to Ketchum’s clients in China specialized expertise in sustainability, digital communications, social media and crisis communications.
 
Prior to joining Ketchum in 2009, Doll worked as a journalist and PR consultant for agencies in Greater China and the U.S. for more than 13 years.
