Today’s consumers are seeking out more information on everything from how products are produced to the environmental and social track record of the companies they invest in. This growing demand, combined with an increasing need for philanthropy in spots around the globe, is causing corporate social responsibility (CSR) to evolve from a nice-to-have to a need-to-have.
The evolution of CSR and the increasing trend toward globalization is driving companies to take a global approach to social responsibility. With offices and CSR experts around the world in offices in North America, South America, Europe and Asia, Ketchum is one of the few agencies to combine global scope on this scale with the ability to tailor global initiatives for local requirements and sensitivities.
Our CSR support covers the following areas:
Linking CSR to business practice
Philanthropy
Research and monitoring
Charitable partnership identification and relationship management
- Manufacturing issues and reputation management
Government and regulator outreach
Media relations
Stakeholder dialogue
Social media
- CSR measurement (both qualitative and KGRN Reputational Measurement)

Social responsibility is a core value at Ketchum, a value that we are passionate about and act on through an ongoing global program of volunteer activities, pro bono work and initiatives. One of our initiatives is Room to Read, which was established on the belief that education can break the cycle of poverty in the developing world. Ketchum provides media relations, reputation management and event management support for Room to Read, which has built more than 700 schools and 7,000 libraries containing 5 million books.
