Ketchum food marketing pioneer Bee Marks, Senior Vice President and Senior Counsel in Ketchum’s Global Food & Nutrition Practice and a member of Ketchum for more than 40 years, explains how she first seized on the idea to use nutrition science to market food on the basis of health and wellness. Reviewing materials for the Idaho Potato and Onion Commission that touted the health benefits of potatoes, she realized that people deserved to know more about the science behind eating, and made communicating this knowledge a centerpiece of her strategic thinking.
